ok, so this is what I did today :
I turned ( tightened) the nut on the end of the brake lever spring. I turned it about 3 half turns, then test drove, and it seems to have fixed the problem, where I no longer have to lift the brake pedal with my toe. So I by turning this nut, it appears that I "adjusted" the weak spring? Am I correct that this was the fix? Can I assume in the future, when I come across this problem again, that this is the solution?? Experts ?? |

Probably a permanent fix.
We have adjusted spring. We have also had a few bad brake switches and a few bad Encoders. Switch is plunger operated,encoder mounted on pedal pivot. Since lifting pedal "fixed" problem, it sounds like mechanical problem. If problem was motor mounted "Parking/emergency" brake, Lifting brake pedal would have no effect. Good luck !!! |
