Re: Slow 2000 48 v Club Car
Hook your dvm to each battery while driving down the street and record lowest reading of each

Re: Slow 2000 48 v Club Car
As much as I hate to buy new batteries I will if they are bad. What is the indicator that suggests I need to replace them in an effort to learn something. Should I further check each battery with a hydrometer or load tester?
Thanks for the suggestions. H |

In your case, you appear to have started with a well discharged pack. At 48.6v you are seriously discharged to roughly 50% capacity. Can you charge them back up - and leave them sit for 8 hours or so (off charger) - then advise the (8-10 hours later) "rested" voltage? Then test each single battery under load (eg. climbing a hill). I know its painfully slow to do this. But by testing in a careful sequence, the numbers will have much more meaning, and you will really know if its batteries or not. |

Re: Slow 2000 48 v Club Car
#1 definitely has issues imo and 2 & 4 are close to consider not healthy since they dropped .8 from full. But u do need to charge first and rest then recheck. Btw this is imo.

Re: Slow 2000 48 v Club Car
Fully charged batteries: pack charge 51 v. Individual Batteries 8.5 at rest. Under load all dropped 7.9-8 and recovered to 8.5. Checked each with a load tester and all appeared ok.
