Default Halogen or LED Headlights

I am going to add headlights and tail lights to my cart and was wondering which everyone preferred halogen or led and why. The cost of the halogen kit is a little less but I'm wondering if the light output is sufficient for on the street. Any recommendations are welcome and thanks.

Get LED if you want to be able to see at night.

I'd go with LED, you will have a lot of color choices (K rating) and multiple options for various light set ups. You don't have to just get the led kit, light bars, light pods, etc. LED carry a lot less amps, just make sure you have a proper voltage reducer as to not unbalance the battery packs.

What ever you decide, be SURE you have hi and low beams on the headlights with LEDs. For some reason, even if the lights are aimed low people will think you are on hi, and will return the favor.

Looks like LED it will be. These will run off an aux. battery as I already have a 42" light bar mounted above the roof-its just too much for street driving. Thanks for the replies.

I put in filament headlights as "low beams" and both as hi beams. Now there is no question for oncoming traffic as to which is on.

I converted an ATV I had to LED headlights, (no high beams), so I added an LED light bar to use as high beams when needed. I am in the process of doing this to my pres.

I went with the center LED driving light and Rigid D2 green driving light pods mounted on the brush guard. Both setup on switched and separate 24VDC circuits.
