Re: Charger info
Well I put a 15A fuse and cap in it and still have the same issue (no charge) going on. Off to read the troubleshooting manual.

Re: Charger info
Are the batteries completely dead? When I first got mine it had sat so long that the batteries were completely dead, and the big charger wouldn't work. I had to put a regular car charger on the individual batteries to get them up enough so that the big charger would work. Might be worth a try.

Re: Charger info
I know when I first tried using the charger they weren't dead, but now they are. What is the best way to charge 8V batts? Put 12V to 2 wired in series or 6V to 1 batt?

Re: Charger info
Being that I know zip about electricity I just did one at a time, and I didn't do a full charge on them, maybe 30 minutes each, then put the big charger on and it did the rest.

Re: Charger info
Ummmm. Do these chargers not have capacitors? Following through the troubleshooting and got to capacitor check... there isn't one. Am I missing something? The only part I do not recognize is the little black plastic piece circled in red. Any help appreciated.
It definitely isn't low voltage in the batteries as the charger senses enough voltage to turn on and hum, it is something in the dc charge circuit. |

Re: Charger info
That is your 48 volt relay. That is how the OBC signals the charger to come on and then turn off.
No capacitor. |

Re: Charger info
Just want to be sure I am understanding the transformer voltage test correctly... leads unhooked at diodes, measure voltage at black leads on fuse? Also... just directly bypass the relay and wire ac input (circled in green) to transformer lead? (Circled in blue)
