EZGO Solenoid in a Club Car
I was removing the nuts on a 1984 CC DS solenoid for testing purposes and one of the small posts snapped off. I don't have another CC solenoid handy but I do have a 36 volt EZGO solenoid handy. Can it be used on the CC, if so how do I know what wire goes where? Currently, from the large posts, one large white wire goes to the v-glide and the other large white wire goes to the f/r switch. From the small posts a green wire goes to the v-glide and a yellow wire goes from the other small post to the f/r microswitch.

Re: EZGO Solenoid in a Club Car
Solenoid is a big switch. It doesn't care what kind of cart it is on. If they are both 36 volts it will work. Polarity should not matter on the coil but look for a + or - sign as I don't know which solenoid you have. Small wires on the small posts and big wires on the large. If you buy a replacement club car solenoid some of those are polarity specific so the location of the small wires matter.

The CC solenoid has absolutely no markings on it. The EZGO solenoid is a White-Rodgers with one large post labeled BAT.

Re: EZGO Solenoid in a Club Car
Pretty sure the WR doesn't care but just for grins I am pretty sure the wire coming from the FnR switch would be the POS side and the other heavy wire goes to the other large post. Little wires won't matter which they are connected as that coil has no polarity

So the wire on the post labeled BAT goes to the f/r switch?

Re: EZGO Solenoid in a Club Car
Post pictures of your solenoid, and post your vehicle serial number and I"ll tell you how to hook it up. A 1984 Club Car would have 5 solenoids.... Does yours?

Re: EZGO Solenoid in a Club Car
No, the cart has only one solenoid. It is a resistor cart with a v-glide.
