Re: How to get wire to back of steering wheel?
Just FYI:
Modern cars solve the problem of connecting electrical devices from the steering wheel to the car electrics with something called a "clock spring". Looks exactly what it says, a spirally would springy strip material in a cylindrical housing. Except the spring is not made of steel like a real clock spring, but made of a plastic material with multiple conductive traces printed on it. The outer end of the spring spiral is connected to the (non-rotating) housing, which is mounted to the non-rotating parts of the steering column, and the traces from there are connected to the car electrics. The inner part of the spring connects to wires from the steering wheel switches, buttons and the ignitor of the airbag. When the steering wheel is centered, the "spring" is 1/2 wound up. |

Just grab your spring box and your ribbon cable box and see if anything looks like it would fit.

You can get what you want from a company called "Ididit". They make columns for Lidos (a fancy Western, which is a fancy Ezgo).
