Default Identify year and model

Got a phone call from a friend today. Her neighbor has an EZGO electric cart that doesn't work and she asked if I would fix it for her. I've never worked on an electric cart before and I'm trying to do my homework so I know what I'm looking for. How do I tell year and model on them? I didn't see any sticky's with that info. I have NOT seen the cart yet, but will soon when the snow melts enough to get it out of her shed. She said it's all charged up but only clicks when the throttle is depressed. Obviously I'll start with the easy things. Check the batteries, connections and probably clean the terminals.

The serial number for your E-Z-GO will be on the passenger's side of the cart in the glove box on years '94 - present. The last two numbers in the manufacturers code will be the year model.

Once you have the serial you can go enter it at ezgo' s website and find out all about the cart.

If it's older than 94 I have no clue

Streetbu, once you get the year, you can find the electrical diagram in the stickies. BUT the fact that the solenoid "clicks", your high current circuit is good, and you need to start by looking at the activation circuit.

I think you have it backwards. If the solenoid clicks, it's activation circuit is good. Time to look at the high current part.

So bringing up an old thread. Finally got the call to look at the cart & diagnose it. Manufacturer # 13p94 Serial #848453

Solenoid clicks when stepping on the pedal, cart does nothing at all. I have a feeling this thing wont be worth repairing though. 5 out of the 6 batteries were dated 5/20007, 1 slightly newer with no date and different brand. Terminals weren't too bad, but do need to be cleaned. I'm sure the batteries need to be watered. I had 36 volts when the pedal was fully depressed at the solenoid, nothing at the motor though.

Overall no, not too bad, but I'm pretty sure it's going to need 6 batteries and possibly a motor....

Ok so it's a 95 Medalist 36v Series cart. That's a good start, Thanks for the help!
