Default 1996 Ez go shorted the charge meter

Ok so I touched to wires together on the charge meter by accident. Now the golf cart will not work or the horn lights come on when switch is on light position. Checked for loose wires and checked the 3 fuses on the side.
any suggestions on what I did or what to check?

No telling about a Golf cart. It could be something simple or something simply awful. Does the solenoid click when you press the pedal? Do you have a voltmeter? A little more info on system..

Prolly burnt the reed switch up ..... check and maybe do the no cost bypass or buy a new cart and get $75 for a telephone interview.

Gain access to solenoid. Connect voltmeter negative to battery negative. The solenoid has two smaller post on it. Turn on key and see if you have + voltage on at least one of them. Not necessary to press pedal yet. No voltage here is a good sign it might be simple to locate. Post #3 might be what is wrong. Also furnish more info on the exact type of system you have(PDS, DCS, etc.)

I'd think a series wouldn't cause any harm, other than blowing a reed switch or the BIG fuse (assuming you have one). PDS and DCS systems don't like you to make sparks without them being in Tow.
