Led electronic flasher weird problem
I installed led headlights and tailights and needed an electronic flasher two blade. I ordered and installed one with an external ground which I piggy backed to the front turn/indicator external bolt ground. Everything works, turn signals, brake, and headlights.
The problem, I heard a faint click from front when pressing accelerator, got out of the cart held flasher pushed accelerator slightly, sure enough the click is the flasher. No wiring changes and the lights wiring harness is 2007 txt original. No lights come on or off just the weird click when accelerator pushed in fwd or reverse. Any ideas on this weird one is appreciated. |

Re: Led electronic flasher weird problem
Likely should not be using a frame ground.... Electric carts do not like it when the frame is energized.

The bolt is not frame ground. It is part of the light assembly housing. I know never to frame ground anything on a cart. I don't want a johnnieb thumbs down.

Its crazy Crash, all is working great. I had ordered an electronic flasher from a sponsor with out external ground and see if this makes any difference. These headlights are real bright, great addition.

As said before its connected to light assembly ground which comes that way on the assembly, but I will try that for sure.

Which headlights did you go with? I am looking for a set of bright LED headlights for my rig (96 TXT)

Re: Led electronic flasher weird problem
Try isolating from frame and see if it still happens. Might be a capacitive coupling inside the light from the metal frame discharging leakage stray voltage.

Re: Led electronic flasher weird problem
Check for continuity from the case of the flasher to frame. I suspect the case of the flasher is bonded internally to the nagative polarity.
