Default Will 23'' tires fit on an 2011 RXV with 3" lift?

called a local shop inquiring about a lift kit for my RXV and was told that I could run a 3" lift kit on an RXV to accommodate 23" all terrain tires. Just wanted to get some second and third opinions before I drop the money on a kit and then spend the time on the install.

Our forum sponsor, Golf Cart Tire Supply, says a 3" lift is good for up to 22" tires. Not saying it can't be done, but apparently it isn't recommended. I have no personal experience with the model you refer to.

You might want to look into the cost of a 350 Amp RXV Upgrade controller kit prior to thinking about putting 23" tires an an RXV with a stock (probably Danaher) controller. That is a lot of torque load to apply to any stock RXV controller.

Check the store at E-Z-GO, it is usually around $1600. It goes on sale for a few hundred $ less from time to time, and they offer discounts at times too. The best time to buy is when it's on sale and they offer a discount code at the same time.

My PM box stays full.

Hi Bob,

What about putting in a Navitas TAC2.0 600amp controller into it?

Reason for my question:

I have my eye on a cheap 2011 RXV that I am considering purchasing and upgrading. (See my sig for my current cart config.)

Cheers,
Impaled

A stock 235 Amp Curtis RXV controller, when reprogrammed to its full rated power, outperforms the "600 Amp" Navitas RXV controller by 105 Amps.

How much of a performance difference is 105 amps on an RXV? (New to RXVs and this is a project cart for me as a hobby.)

Here is the math issue for me as a CND (converted everything to USD):

Cart cost (2011 RXV): 1350 USD (Including the horrible 13% sales tax we pay here in Canada)

Curtis controller unprogrammed: 1600 USD + 13% sales tax + shipping would probably run me 2050.

Programming to achieve "full rated power" would be an additional cost to program, shipping and taxes (13% paid when coming back over the border).

2050+cost of reprogramming = ???

I can get a TAC2.0 here in Canada for way less than 2050 off the shelf of a local dealer. So I am juggling if it is worth the additional 105 amps to pay more than double to put a reprogrammed Curtis controller in.

I know this is a unique CND dilemma. Thank-you for answering my questions.

PS: I believe that this cart I am looking at purchasing has a Danaher controller. But, I could be wrong. If it is a Curtis controller in it then reprogramming a working controller to get the performance would be way less of course. :)

Cheers,
Impaled

The $1600 is full EZGO retail price for a 350 amp. You can find a 350 amp conversion kit on eBay for around $900. but not every day.

The 350 amp controller is 1050 amp if you rate it as Navitas does. That's 450 more amps than a 600 amp Navitas.

Bob will program it for free...
