Default 1987 club car ds wheel well

Hello-

I took on a winter project of fixing up a 1987 club car DS. Been fun so far. I lifted it and put 23"x12" on it. While doing it all, I took of the inner wheel wells and lost the spacer pieces. I'm trying to figure out how these things go back on.

Will these even work with the larger wheels? Are there alternative solutions that I can make / do? I was planning on just leaving them off, but then I read that all the road debris might fly into where all the batteries are.

Do folks leave these on or off after lifting? Any alternative solutions that might work better to keep the battery area clean?

Thanks!

Don't know if ours install the same way, but here is where my bolts and spacers were. I took pictures before I tore it down.

That's helpful - thanks!

The weird thing is I believe there are 4 holes in the fenders for screws, but I couldn't figure out where all 4 would go. It's been a while since I looked.

I lost the spaces so figure I'd just use carriage bolts and pvc or something like that to recreate those spacers.

There are 4 holes in the inner wheel wells but only 2 are used on each side.

Thanks! Anyone have an idea on how long those plastic spacers are?
