Default Club Car makes a clicking noise

My 1989 Club Car makes a clicking noise at times depending on how much throttle I give it....I can give it full throttle and it stops making the clicking noise and when i let off the noise comes back....what could cause this.

I have a 2002 ds, had to replace the FNR switch and solenoid. After I did that have a loud clicking noice when first push the pedal and when first let off. Its loud. Thought was magnets in new solenoid but think now it's coming from the v-glide box.

That model may have the row of solenoids and micro-switches (MS). If so, as you accelerate more they click and transfer current for speed control.

Your v-glide does have a MS that clicks
