Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
Yes, it’s covered with Toyota Materials Handling stickers so I would think that at some point of its life it may have been owned by Toyota. It also has a “Beach Club” sticker on the front which is an Australian resort company, adding to the confusion. I don’t know what voltage that charger is.
Either way it’s in a sorry state and my plan for it is to restore it and give it a new lease of life. I’m prepared to replace all running gear if nothing is salvageable, possibly converting to a Navitas 5kW AC system. |

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
Thinking about it now, that may be a 72v charger and there may be another 4 8v batteries under the front seat as Fairtax4me suggested.

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
Does it matter what it is now? If the price is right, just install all new electrics from a BGW sponsor and you have something most would envy!!!!

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
That looks like a late 90's early 2000's Club Car Villager. The hole under the driver's seat appears to be where the stock 48 volt charger once resided. This has almost assuredly been converted to some kind of aftermarket or more likely, use what we have on hand kind of drive system. Looks like a great platform though. Did you ever get a look at a build tag?

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
@Cartmaster, No, makes no difference at all, just posted for interest sake, especially since it seems to be a 40v system.
@Noonan, I’ve just looked up the Villager 6 and it certainly seems to be the one. I’m still waiting for the seller to send a photo of the build plate, if it has one.... Cheers Pat. |

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
normally i'd suggest site sponsors, but shipping would eat you alive
you should contact yawood to find cart suppliers down under, he's up north from you but i guess 99.99% of the worlds population is north of you |

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
Yep, not much south of me. I’ve looked at some local suppliers but even when factoring in shipping and currency conversion it’s still cheaper to buy from the US. Remember, unless something comes out of China, our suppliers purchase from the US too. It seems that all the quality controllers and motors are from US based companies.
I would like to be proved wrong though. |

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
Serial number begins with KG0451, which seems to indicate a late 2004 Club Car Villager GAS. So as already suggested, this cart has been converted to electric drive.

Re: Help Identify Club Car (40v?)
I will know later today if I’m successful in purchasing this cart but due to COVID travel restrictions I may be unable to pick it up for a few weeks. I will post pictures if/when I have it in my possession.
Cheers Pat. |
