Default OBC cable question

I have just changed out all of my #6 cables to #2 gauge welding cable on everything in my cart. I need to know if i am suppose to leave the original cable that is going through the OBC or can i just run the #2 around it?

You MUST leave that cable going through the OBC or it will not allow your cart to charge. The 2 gauge can just run around it and connect at the same place!

Thanks. Do i need to keep both cables hooked up at the same time or do i need to disconnect the 2 gauge cable when i charge?

Hook them both up and leave them alone. No need to do anything else. The 2 gauge just connects to exactly where the 6 gauge connects. The OBC will still sense current flowing through the 6 gauge while the 2 gauge will be there for all that extra current you're hoping to pull thru it.

Related question...wil the OBC sense less current flow through the # 6 cable? Any implications for charging?

STEVEHO-- No problems OBC will still work correctly and allow correct charging with 6 gauge cable running through and 2 guage bypassing.
