Apparently there are lots of controllers that you are not aware of. By the time you add up the price of an Albright contactor, HD switches and cut-offs to cut main power, and the time it would take to install all of that, you might come up with the price of a decent controller. |

Re: Controller Bypass
Don't think so!
Lets hear of these carts that are on 72 volts and lets see the controllers and prices you say are so cheap. Just a quick google search and here are some prices. Price: $1,479.95 LogiSystems 72-120 volt 1000 Amp Price: $3275.00 Controller, Soliton 1, 300 volt, 1000 amp Price: $1397.25 Controller, Curtis PMC #1221C-7401, 72-120 VDC, 400 amp Notice the amps! Price: $1595.52 Controller, Curtis #1231C-7701, 72-120 VDC, 550 ampNotice the amps G-man the Bypass is a simple circuit that puts all the amps the motor will take to it in a instance. Where a controller has a ramp up setting that most controllers aren't campable of matching even in a high dollar controller. The logistic's I have is suppose to be one of the fastest ones but as you can see in the photo's and video's it has nowhere near the take off torque as the bypass. Bar none no matter what anyone says! The fact is it's seat of the pants results that want... can't be matched for $100.00 contactor and a good shutoff switch. B- of controller and M- of controller hooked to a contactor. In turn hooked to a foot switch hooked to a micro switch and a on/off switch. Less than a $200.00 for all. Plus all the safety stuff posted before in the normal system. + it can work with a stock controller if one wants it to! |

What part do you not understand! As far as video's... I have watched my share of video's of everyones carts. I have raced in 6 events so far. I have posted my times. I haven't seen yours yet though. How many have you raced in? I have put facts out not personal info. I'm not making this into a personal thing as you keep trying so hard to do. I never said mine was the fastest. I know I'm not the fastest cart! Where did I say this! Show me. I don't think anybody knows who the fastest 72 volt cart is except maybe JD from Arkansas. Mr Bailey had a quick one also. Yes there maybe some quicker carts out there but I don't claim to know all of them and haven't raced them yet either though! |

My videos are in my signature. They talk for me. This is not a personal thing. I like you man, just dont like the by-pass thing. JD is not the quickest. He is quick, but not the quickest. If you have any questions about Logisystems high end race controllers, I would be more than willing to talk to you about it. |

Re: Controller Bypass
Those are some good times for sure. Haven't seen you run at a event though!
Are you running parallel packs? Why would you want to run that fast with out a cage is beyond me though! |

Also, If I had not already used the by-pass, done alot of testing, compared ET's, 60 foot, 100 foot, and the only one that really matters, 660 foot, I would not be having this conversation with you. Like I said before, I understand that it is an option. And I understand that it is a less expensive option. I think that it just needs to come with a huge "Warning" label and alot of Heavy Duty master cut-off info. I sincerly hope that no one else gets hurt trying this. Is it really worth it since it has been proven that there is safer way to achieve your goals? |

Re: Controller Bypass
There's where the speed and times are not matching up though! I run a singal pack. This is why at the Pageland events we had such a hard time with it. Is it fare to group singal pack carts to parallel carts??? We didn't think so just as a stock shouldn't run with a modified cart.
I agree a parallel pack cart will out run a singal pack hands down. We need to compare oranges to oranges here not oranges and grapes. There are so many things that one little micro switch can change in a multi battery setup. Yes it's 72 volts and yes it's fast! I agree. |
