what year and is it a 36 or 48 volt cart? if its a 48 volt cart there should be only 1 cable on the neg. post of #6 battery.......it runs thur the OBC and bolts to controller......make sure the 10 gage red wire is wired to pos side of #1 battery thats the rear battery on pass. side of cart........if its not wired there thats your problem if its right than the cables are mis-wired so go over everything again.............if its a 36 volt cart than your charge wires are connected to 2 front batteries along with several other wires so we need voltage of cart......................................

I do not see any wires coming from the charging receptacle that are not connected to anything. I'm going to see if I can find another Club Car in the area that is similar to mine to look at.

Thanks for the help, I'll report my findings.

Aha, my cart is a 48 volt cart and the new batteries are 6 volt. Come to think of it the battery distributor never asked when I was trying to locate new batteries. I'll call them tomorrow.

Thanks for the help.

like i said if its a 48 volt cart you,ll only have one 10 gage red wire from the charge receptical there is no wire for the negitive side, if its a 36 volt cart there are wires that 1 runs to keyswitch, 1 to F&R switch.......they don,t just come out of the receptical and run to batteries, the 36 volt cart depending on the year the wires run different................................

Gordon, what year is your cart, I have a 94 Club Car DS with V Glide. I am looking for the complete wiring diagram for my cart, and suggestions.

As it turned out, the battery distributor delivered the wrong batteries. They replaced the 36 volt batteries with 48 volt batteries and now we are working again. The cart seems a little slow right now on inclines but the batteries are still charging...

While I'm at it, is there a way to test my charger to make sure it is operating properly?

And now that I have discovered this forum, you have me thinking about tinkering for more speed.

Gordon
Thanks again for all the help.

I believe my cart is a 2000 model, the serial number begins with 00. I found the wiring diagrams provided on this forum as sticky threads were very helpful.

Now I ex[ect my cart to follow the path of my cars... faster!

I went to a website, cant remember the exact one, but if you typed in your serial number, they gave you the exact build of your cart. Does yours have the v Glide or an electronic controller? I have comopletely re wired my cart, now I am getting the front and rear cowls painted. Should look good once I put the lift kit and the new wheels on it. Cant decide on which lift kit to get?
