Yoshi.... Thanks for the very informative post. I've been looking for this same informaton for a long time. You did a great job describing the micro switch but can you provide more information about the potentiometer. You mention "Resistor pads",.. and I assume these are part of the potentiometer. I assume there is a rotating contactor that makes connecton to the resistor pads,..i.e. and creates the voltage for the controller. Many times we are trying to figure out if the potentiometer is going bad or if it is the micro switch. The jumper test is the quick answer,..but if it was a bad resistor pad did you see anyway of cleaning that or fixing it??? Thanks again for your post.
