Default Unknown Accessory plug on 2019 Onward

Hi,

Any ideas what the attached plug does? I get 12V on a multimeter when the key is turned. I want to add an amplifier for some cheap speakers I purchased. I'm not keen on connecting accessories to factory wiring, but wanted to check if anyone has used a plug like this to attach lights, radios, etc. and if some other component is needed, like a relay switch, to prevent damage. Otherwise, I'll just run directly to the battery terminal and install an in-line switch. Thanks in advance!
