Default Taylor-Dunn purchase

picked up this B1-50 burdan carrier this morn from a Craigslist ad.....$850.....pretty nice little truck.....batteries fairly new....does need tires though.....gonna be my campground vehicle at our annual firefighters convention.....will paint it red and install l.e.d. lighting.....lots to do before labor day weekend.....

Build ya some sides on it and put a couple SCBA's and mini ladders...kinda make it a mini fire truck...just a thought! good luck with the build though...looks cool already.

got a coat of red paint on today....bought 4 new 8" tires and wheels...they are same size as my trailer....ordered white 4" l.e.d. lights for headlights from etrailer.com.....36 l.e.d.'s per lamp.....will replace single incandescent 4" tail light with two red l.e.d.'s.......

got cab painted two-tone...black pinstripe paint break....white l.e.d. headlights in.....hub caps from local cart dealer to cover plain white rims....blue l.e.d. lightbar...had to narrow it 4"....not permanently mounted yet...still working on bed design....may build box sides to more resemble a fire truck....a work in progress....http://www.flickr.com/photos/76664490@N08/9396122615/

Looks great keep the pictures coming. I might look at a ezgo copy of that but it does have some rust.

Mike,

there is an EZGO on ebay right now...under "other" catergory in motorsports.....but the guy wants $2900 for it....I got a good deal on mine....never seen a Taylor under $2000....a dealer had a used b1-50 without cab for $4000.....

another Taylor-Dunn! ....there is one like it listed on Eastern Golf Carts website for $3250.00......these little trucks are cool, but pricey.....I picked mine up private seller who had a street rod shop.....it was a toy for his grandkids....

I,ve downloaded the service manual for it off the Taylor website....pretty simple little trucks.....already got pricing back from Plum Quick to do a "bandit" up grade to the electric motor....$225.00....I'll have to wait until after labor day and fire convention to do that......
