Lift kit spring U Bolt snapped-can you get grade 8?

I got a 6" spindle lift kit from another site and the u bolts they give snapped on the first bump i hit.
Anyone know if grade 8 u bolts can be bought in this size? I have a 4 leaf spring on it so a little longer than the ones that came with it would be nice.

Any good hardware store will carry Grade 8 bolts .... you just need to bring your old one so you can match it up

grade 8 u bolts of that size? Home depot and lowes didnt have them,they are about 4" wide and 6 or 8" long

We have a very complete hardware store that carries that kinda stuff but if you don't you might try an auto parts store?

I,m guessing you have a club car by the u-bolt dimensions.
Most common u-bolts are grade 2. You can get u-bolts rated grade 5 from the sponsors. If you are running a motor upgrade, then I would recomend using a 4 u-bolt set up. Depending on the lift components, You may possibly be able to use bolts ( depending on the plate mounted on top of the leaf springs. If the plate is 1/4" or heavier, you can use bolts).

if the sponsers don't have them try looking in the phone book for spring shops....they should be able to bend you some. we have a bender at work but only stock 1/2" to 7/8" rod

yeah ive got a 95 club car ds with 4 leaf heavy springs on it.The bolts just snapped the first time they got some stress,had to be grade 2.

These bolts are really long,do any of the sponsors have them that big?

A 6" lift with H.D springs will only require 6-7' u-bolts.
Any of the sponsors should be able to hook you up.
The All Sports Super Sport rear uses 2 u-bolts per side.
If you are running more than stock, this set up will do the trick.
You can order the u-bolts and the hardware from sponsors.
Stock motor should be fine with grade 5 u-bolt, again, sponsors.

i did a search on the sponsor sites,nothing listed under u bolt,spring bolt,etc

You will have to contact one of them. These parts are not in kit form.
You will have to order them seperate. Any All Sports dealer can get you the u-bolts you need.
