Cool 2007 Columbia ParCar

2007 Columbia ParCar ...

This cart was given to me by a co-worker, who did not have the time or space to work on it. This was his second cart. His wife said that one of them HAD to go.
I was told that it only needed batteries. Not the case. The controller was bad. I didn't want to shell out $12-$1500 for a new Sevcon controller that I would be stuck with 'STOCK' options. So I dug around on here and found someone who was doing an Alltrax XCT48500-IQ install onto his ParCar. So I said what the heck, I'll give that a shot and started ordering parts.
This cart looked like it had seen some pretty rough days and I thought it was time to give it some TLC. At the moment it is a 48v with a D&D motor. Doing the Alltrax install, I would have to pretty much rewire everything (to save me from going insane), so I yanked all the wiring out of it and started from scratch. I got all the wiring done (as far as making it run) and then stripped it all the way down to just the bare bones of the cart. The only wire still on the cart was for the pressure switch for the brake lights.
Took all the body and dash off and started to do some rehab to it. The only rust it had really, was some surface rust underneath the rubber floor mat, a little on the battery tray, and some on both sides of the rear cross-member that the springs compress against. Looked like someone tried to do some repair welds on it, but not too good. I cleaned them up and welded it up a little better. Cleaned everything up and scrubbed it really well, used a scotch-brite pad to scuff everything up and gave it a nice gloss black paint job.
As of right now, that's about as far as my schedule has allowed me to do on it so far, but more to come.
I have attached a picture of a cart that looks similar to what I am looking for. Looking to go with a bright MOPAR Green with green and black seats (probably Highbacks from LazyLife). No lift on it unless I have too. The wife wants me to put a back seat on it, but I might just try and find a cart for her and the kid to put around on and leave mine alone.

More to come ... just wanted to start my own thread so I didn't feel as if I were Hi-Jacking someone else's.

Looking at doing something similar to this one, but probably not putting a roof on. Most likely going to do a custom shorty Sport windshield.
And I really like these seats from LazyLife. Black with Lime Green stripes.
