Re: What is the name of this part?
To each their own, but I don't think it is a good idea to raise the center of gravity of a narrow track, short wheelbase vehicle that is already top heavy.

Re: What is the name of this part?
I would tear it off and put a decent lift kit and new springs on it. The springs you are going to be bent backward (arched the wrong way).

Re: What is the name of this part?
I am definitely going to get it up on jack stands and tear it down. Im going to grind sae surface rust off the frame and treat and repaint it. Get some new springs and new shoes for her. Thank you again for your input.

Re: What is the name of this part?
As JohnnieB said. unless you are going with bigger tires, I would not put a lift under it. Just new springs. A lift can really change the handling of a cart, a lot of times in a bad way.

Re: What is the name of this part?
That’s a spring shackle, it belongs on the rear of the leaf springs allowing the spring to change length as the arch of the spring is straightened when loaded

Re: What is the name of this part?
Yes, it's a spring shackle, but it isn't a stock spring shackle, or at least not according to the parts manual.

Re: What is the name of this part?
Some might disagree, but I think shuttle carts and lift kits (especially cheap ones) are a bad idea.

Re: What is the name of this part?
Again, I literally just took possession of this cart. Paid $1000 for it. I need to get this issue taken care of because the body of the cart now rubs on that tire. I need to know if I am tKi g that shackle out and reconnecting the springs to the frame or if I am fix Not that shackle. I do love the fact that all of you are answering and helping me. I’m not a dumb person, but I do know when I am in the company who know more about certain things than I do. I can build a house from the ground up, but when it comes to carts, I will have to learn.

Re: What is the name of this part?
Is that on the front spring or the rear? Looks like it's on the front. What's on the back of the spring?
If they used that for a lift it didn't work because that things squatting hard. The springs are just too weak or too worn out for the weight they wanted to carry. (in-laws maybe) Either way, IMO those just need to come off. |
