Question G1 Starter Generator problem (and wiring)

Before I spend $150. dollars on a rebuild for this S/G, I need to make sure That I am connecting everything correctly.
I have Connected
F1 to the positive terminal
F2 to the Negative side of the Solenoids (center post that are all joined and are connected to the negative battery post)
A1 to one solenoid
A2 to the other solenoid
I have found that you cannot reverse the two solenoids or the cart will not run.

I have not been able to get the S/G to charge the battery (getting a max of 11.5 volts from the Regulator after grounding directly to the Negative Battery post) (also checked a different regulator, tried adjusting the screw etc...)

Now, even with a full charge on the battery, I can not get the cart to start in the forward position, the S/G just lopes over as if it may have a flat spot on the armature.
It will however start in the Reverse key position.

I read "Spriddle's" "Sticky" on "Yamaha Starter/Generator Cable Placement"...
F2 (front of st/gen) connects to short pos. cable coming off the solinoid
A1 (passenger side bottom) connects to the neg. side of battery
A2 (passenger side top) wraps around to the back of the starter/generator to F1 (small red cable from side to back of st/gen.)

However mine was not wired this way originally, so I am a bit confused by this.
Any and all help on how this is suppose to be connected is greatly appreciated!

So I broke down and finally went and had the S/G rebuilt. ($145.00 ouch)
Turns out that the F2 post was broken inside, so I hope that was the problem.
I will know more later today when the temp outside drops down below 100 deg.'s

Everyone is Jumping for Joy
Well at least I am!
That seemed to do the trick. After replacing the S/G I was getting 12.67 volts at the battery, at 3/4 acceleration
(and thats without the direct ground from the V/R to the battery)

(I have one more issue, but I am going to start another thread for that)
