Default Button missing from Driven Clutch, how hard to fix?

Was able to get my 87 CC up and running this morning(kinda ). Had a crazy vibration going on. Was wondering what was wrong, so loaded it up and took it to Apache Golf Cars. Its nice that they are 1/2 mile from my house, is maybe its a bad thing, lol.

Had the guy look at it and he saw that a button was gone.

So we ordered up a set of 4.

My question is what does it take to replace the existing ones and install the new one.

Thanks!

My service manual shows to take the clutch apart and the buttons are held in place with a small machine screw. Remove the screw and slide the button out. Install new buttons and reassemble the clutch. Hope this helps.

Sweet!

I just am having a hell of a time getting the driven clutch off. I took the small bolt out on the end. But I also see 2" or so nut that is 1/4" thick does that need to come off aswell?

Well i finally got the driven off using a pickle fork. I went ahead and cleaned the shaft really good.

Now to get the 2" (or so) nut off...

Driven clutch on cart, take off the small bolt in the center.

Use this tool in between the clutch and trany to push clutch off of the drive shaft. Its a pickle fork.

You can see that one of the buttons is missing.

I need to get this 2" nut off to replace the button's.

What a nightmare this is become

Got the driven clutch off finally.

Took a bit to get it apart then I went to take out the existing Buttons.

To have this happen:

I knew I had one to remove:

But two makes it a job and a chore, and i think i sould just buy a new one.

Looks like I also need one of these:

I just hope I can find the plate, bushing is easy to find.

Thank goodness I was able to buy the owners Manuel in PDF format, also a club car parts list catalog!
