1999 club car does not like to start in cold weather below 32 degrees have to use starting fluid

Is your air filter clean and the choke operational? Club Cars are pretty sensitive about starting if the filter is not clean and the airbox is not in good order .. Have you got cracks or leaks in the hose or box?

Yep!, your choke assy is at the end of your air filter assy under your left leg.
If any part of the airbox or hose assy leaks air it will make the choke inoperable. To test if the hard starting issue is from the choke/airbox assy, disconnect it from the carb, put the cart in maint. mode so you can start it in neutral, hold your hand over the end of the carb and push the pedal, if it starts you have an air leak in your filter/choke assy. If it still doesn't start by this method, you need to pull the carb and clean it. |
