Need help with system voltage
I have a 94 DS CC. Car has sat and has not been run in a while, have no history on it so I am starting from scratch. I had nothing, no crank, nothing. I was trouble shooting and discovered that the micro switches were bad. I replaced all four. Now I have cranking, 160 compression.I have no spark. I understand that the most common cause of this is Micros, ruled out, Ignitor, coil and limiter. I took my voltage meter this morning and decided to measure the voltage readings at various points in the sytem. I expected to see 12 volts, however, I am reading 12 volts off of the Starter Solenoid, All 4 posts, 12 volts on one side of the Green/Orange wire Micro and like 1.04 on the other side (Orange) with it in switched position. I measured the voltage at my white/black wire that goes to the Ignitor, coil and the Limiter with the white black wire unplugged, It is reading around 3 to 4 volts. This seems strange and incorrect to me, I have spent time pondering the purpose and function of the switches in the system and have tried to determine the proper flow of electricity but am struggling to grasp it. I would really like to see a break down of the ignition switch circuitry, I feel I may have a bad switch that is shorted internally and causing the voltage to be insufficient to the Ignitor and coil part of the system. ANY and All help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Re: Need help with system voltage
If the engines cranking over but you have no spark it is either the coil the igniter or the rpm limiter, on a 1994 the most common cause for no spark is the igniter and rpm limiter I can't tell you how many of them I have seen go bad and there's no real way to bench test them. If the cart is cranking over your microswitch is good. For now don't worry about your voltage concentrate on coil igniter and rpm limiter.......
