Default Only have one fuel filter?

I have a 99 DS and mine only has one fuel filter coming of the tank. I thought they had 2 fuel filters? Does it really matter? Should I add a second between the pump and carburator - what do you think?

It never hurts to have more filters...but If something was small enough to fit through the first and run through the fuel pump, what are the odds its gunna cause running problems? Like I said can't hurt but overkill in my opinion...

Stock Club Cars come with two filters, so there must be a design reason for two of them!
I'd say add the second one!

Thanks for the reponses! I have extra filters (only cost $1.49ea) -I could always add a second. I guess mine was changed at sometime? It is 13yrs old so who knows (was apparently part of a fleet at a government-owned golf course).

I THINK the point of the second filter is more to catch what might break up in the pump(think failure). The first filter gets what comes outta the tank and keps that from getting in the pump.
