Setting Camber/Tow In with Lift
I have a 6" lift with 23" tires and put some Harley sportster shocks on front, the shocks are adjustable and I have adjustment on the lift as well but I just can't seem to find that right position to get the wheels strait up and down. I don't want it wearing my new tires funny, is there something else I can do? Thanks for any help on this.

Re: Setting Camber/Tow In with Lift
When I did my front end I mounted my shocks solid on the bottom and clamped them off on top. After mounting the tie rods in their proper position i set the front end down and set the tires slightly in this position \ /. I simulated the average weight usually in the cart and adjusted the shocks until the tires were straight up and down when normal weight was in the cart. This took a little fooling around but the tires are like this \ / slightly when the cart is empty and like this l l when loaded with average weight. The older Yamaha front ends are not real high tec but you can get them pretty close. Remember when you put the front end on a jack and lift it you'll need to bounce it around a little when you let it down for the tires to find there neutral position. I did mine on grass so the tires wouldn't be biting into concrete and be evn more difficult. Just my two cents.....

Re: Setting Camber/Tow In with Lift
Abieex that's exactly what mine does..tilts in at bottom till I get weight in it, then it pretty much corrects itself I guess, just wasn't not sure if it was normal. Like I said..I have adjustment and I can go either way..top of tires in or out, just can't find that happy medium! Thanks for the input.

Re: Setting Camber/Tow In with Lift
G2, G9 are the same way. Tires should be straight with a normal load on the cart. You can put sand on the concrete lol, that helps, then just turn the steering wheel back and forth a couple times. Note if your lift angles the arms downward this situation is worse and your toe in needs to be nearly perfect. That is how I lifted mine, I should change it and move the arm mounts down part way. But it does corner on rails on the trail.
