First ride today...wow, it is stiff. Rides perfectly straight though, haven't even done a detailed alignment yet...all by eye so far. Turning radius is bad as expected...I am thinking a out building adapters for the spindle steering arms to relocate the ball joints closer to the spindles should get better slow speed turn radius.

Decided to pick up a set of wheels. They look so much better in person...tires show up tomorrow. Looking forward to getting these on the cart...even doing the bleeping body work so I can get this thing closer to done.

New feet...Pretty happy with them. If anyone gets Kanati Mongrels, decide on your size, and go one size up. They seem to run a tick small. They also don't come with the "Mongrel" emblem on them. I think only certain sizes, or maybe direct purchase...I don't know DAWG would have looked good with the mutt images on the tires. Anyway, they are 10-ply, and rugged as all get out, but smooth at speed. Got up to 39 MPH for a quick trip up the road. One hand on the wheel, so stable...no weird vibrations. As for noise, well, I have a Predator 670 running at 4,000 RPM and the Vegas Carts header/muffler, so I couldn't hear the tires. I did not get them balanced either...just mounted. For $5 each at Wallyworld, I couldn't justify wrestling with them myself on the HF tire changer.

Next up: Bodywork/Paint, lights, and then seats. At this point, I may do a full tear down, frame off clean and paint, back seat steel, top, and media blast the transaxle. It is so open now...and it looks messy. I wonder if carefully applied, removed, and neutralized acid would clean up the old aluminum case? Anyone ever try it?

Options, options. Obviously one has a coat of primer and neither has lights yet...opinions? Which way should I go?

By the way, adjusted the motor location and belt...holy crap! It is a fricken Wheelie machine. Shifts perfect now...just needed to get the belt completely loose on the clutch. Been procrastinating...way overdue.

2 is the ST cowl and those headlights are pricy but much better headlights. Option 3 is find another cowl the lights have not been cut out of and get a light bar.

I bought the light kit for the TXT cowl...the LED lights in that kit can be removed from the plastic frames and installed in the ST cowl if I go that way. I am leaning toward the ST Cowl for what its worth.
