Re: helo from a newper
Thanks for the welcome folks! I hope to make my cart look much better but I have an engine that is sick (knocking and not the crank bearings) The coil is also bad now. So I am thinking engine swap Sooo!
I have some questions: 1 how do you adapt a Yamaha clutch ti a Briggs engine? 2 I can fabricate engine mounts but a little help would be welcome. 3 Normally do people let the Briggs engine idle or do they gas peddle start cart style? I know you guys have a good idea or two for me. I am retired so I am on a limited income and have to modify what I have (yamaha clutch). I write gunsmithing and hunting articles and split the cash to pay for golf cart work and going to see my grand kids in Conway Arkansas. DIY help is a must. Thanks again for the warm welcome! Tony |

Re: helo from a newper
1. I'm not sure, if it can be done you would need to machine the ID of the
clutch to fit. 2. The engine mount is fairly simple, maybe you can get some ideas here: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...ebadboyg9.html http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...oys-g-9-a.html 3. I have mine setup to idle like a car, I think most do it this way. |
