Default !982 G1 Yamaha Golf Cart

Hi: Just found out my G1 Yamaha cart is a 1982. Anyone know anything about the 82? Was it a lemon year? Thanks for any help. Mike

yes, i think it is a good year .the only problem i have seen, is ordering parts. they only made this one year ,and it can be harder finding parts .when you do, make sure you tell them its an 82 not just a g-1.enjoy...

No i don't think it was a lemon. The only real differances between 83's and up are the cylinder/reed assy/manifold/carb/exhaust and the oil pump. Like previously posted, it's good you know it's a 82 (J17) when you go to get parts. Have fun with your toy. Later Dave

Sparkberch I have a 82 G1 and let me tell you I love mine. After I put another carb on it from a 84 G1 it runs like a banchee. I also have a 81 G1 but its slower than my 82.
