1996 Gas Club Car Accelerator Pedal Adjustment Questions
Hello I'm newbie here I've been reading and lurking around for awhile now, I recently bought 2 1996 gas Clubcar DS models from a local golf course it was a deal I could not walk away from 700 for the pair in pristine condititon, ok back to the topick, on one of them all the acceleration is done at the bottom of the pedal, the first 3/4 of the pedal really doesnt do too much, so before I start wrenching I'd just like to be sure what I'm doing, am I correct in assuming I need to lengthen the accerator cable under the seat on the drivers side??

Re: 1996 Gas Club Car Accelerator Pedal Adjustment Questions
The cable will only lengthen a little bit, using the adjuster in the black box under the seat. You will probably be better off lengthening the accelerator rod that goes from the pedal to the black box. Also, while you have that off, make sure it isn't just bent.
One of the two carts I bought had a bend in this rod, and just straightening it gave much better throttle response with the pedal. Cheers! |
