LOL ! I contemplated trying the same tricks myself.......after reading many posts - some good, most not so good, I talked to Tom @ CPP and dropped the coin on the tool. Worked great in about 5 minutes.

Don't feel bad, I get a couple calls a week with simular stories. I know a guy did the same thing as you except he could not get the pusher out. So then he took it to a dealer over in Thomasville. $1100 dollars later his clutch was off.:sho ck: WOW all to save $45

You mentioned the engine repair manual. I bought the one that covers the cart but can't find the one that has the engine, diff and clutches. Can you give me the number of the one you have?? Or where you bought it.

Clutches and motors are too expensive, I bought a tool. When I get finished with it I intend to loan it out. So much better than correcting buggered up shafts and clutches

A touch of anti-sieze compound on the shaft (the one on the motor) just prior to installing the clutch will prevent the misery next time around.
