Default 01 club car fe290 motor burns oil

i have a 2001 club car with a fe290 motor in it and it burns oil bad i go through 3 of oil to a tank of gas. it was full of oil and someone put a quart in to it and ran it why it was already full of oil. but other then that it runs great really no problems with it. i am ask if any one might know why it is burning all this oil i think it might be the oil ring on the piston. i wonted to see what all of you guy thought be for i rebuilt the motor

No HUGE clouds of trailing white smoke???
No oil leaking anywhere?

Pull the spark plug and see if it has a ton of oil, and carbon build up on it,
if it does... rebuild it!
