Default Very little spark???

I have a 2000 club car with the kawasaki 9 hp. I half to bypass the solenoid to get it to turn over. I checked the plug and had no visible spark but when I held it I had a little bite. What should I check next?

You might resolve your no spinover issue and find they are tied together somehow.
If you are just jumping the solenoid from the battery and not pushing the pedal the ignition/spark will be grounded and no fire.

I pushed the pedal and no spark. When I held the end of the plug with it spinning over it hit me a little, but not enough for me to let it go. I think it has fire but its not strong. Could it be a bad ground? How to you get to the coil/igniter? I looked at it and it looks like you half to take half the motor apart? I figure it could also be rusted flywheel and contacts on the coil? Do they have a air gap and if so what is it supposed to be?
