Re: Allied Lithium - 2015 EZGO Extended
Quote:
Last week I noticed a loss of range and a parasitic draw from the free balancer they sent me last fall. While my batteries were staying balanced courtesy of the balancer, it was reducing my range which defeats the whole purpose of investing into lithium in the first place. When I removed the balancer, as they suggested, the batteries wouldn't stay balanced upon being charged. Again, no good. They (Allied) were very helpful in determining that I needed to swap out the series for the parallels for the very reasons I was experiencing. Because they are still under warranty, they are going to do this at no charge which made me very happy. Because they don't make 80ah in parallel they are going to send me the next closest thing.....90ah. I also purchased an extra 30ah which now means I'll be at 120ah. So...at the end of the day I'll be going up from 80ah to 120ah for just $875. All's well that ends well. |
