cart clicks while free rolling but doesn't under load
96 TXT 48v cart. Has been doing this for a while but I hardly use it any more except while camping. Basically it has no audible sound to it while pedal is pressed, but as soon as you let off the pedal and it starts to coast it has a clicking sound. As the cart slows the sound slows down with it. I'm thinking bearing but I would assume it would have a sound to it all the time. Also after it sets for a while, when putting it in reverse its like its stuck. Press the pedal and it clicks, then slams in reverse. After that it'll go in reverse no problems. Any ideas? Thanks

First thought on clicking noise is loose lug nut or axle nut.
Can you tell if noise comes from front or rear? |

Axle nut nut loose/ not tight
If you find axle nut was loose check to be sure splines in drum did not get worn To the point of being loose compared to axles splines. Let us know what you find😊 |

My 1997 TXT would click form the rear passenger side most all the time. Bearing replacement fixed it.

Excuse me but did you ever find the solution? I have a similar issue and replaced input shaft but still a bit noisy.
