Default Plowmans setup

I called Don yesterday for my 2000 G16. He very happpy to help he cares a lot I told him what I had and what I do with cart. He helped me check engine mount it was ok and prime clutch I need a new prime clutch. I order it from him he told me the one I had couldn't be rebuilt and I didn't replace it his set up won't run to good. I didn't want to spend that much money but I think it's money well spent.

He's right. If you want the most performance you can get, all the parts have to play well together and be properly set up. It sucks when you have to replace expensive parts, but when it's all said and done, your cart will run better than ever.

Many, many times I have seen lame performance fixed just by doing motor mounts & rebuild/replace clutches.

I have talked to Don a few times now about a performance kit for my G2. Have learned more about my cart over these phone calls than can imagine. Plus the help from guys on this site from questions asked or reading almost every page. Have Dons kit on the way in the mail. The way I always look at things is you can do it half a** or pay a little more for first class.

Regarding spending big bucks on these things, yes, it hurts but I rationalize things this way: When that cart was new one could expect 10-20 years of fairly maintenance free years from the high ticket items like clutches, heads and such. Now that you have new ones, you can expect that 10-20 years (depending on use of course). Divide your costs by that time and things really aren't that expensive.

I had to replace a primary on one of my HDs. It was $400. Ouch. That thing will probably last me 15 years, though. In actuality, that's only $26 a year for that clutch.
