Re: PDS vs. Series
The switch I have let's you pick the chip for whatever driving condition you are in. If you are driving down a flat road and want speed use the speed setting. Once you get where you are going and going to climb some hill's pick one of two settings for steep hill or mild.
My kit moves the run/tow switch to the dash and I provide the other two switches and wiring to do it with. $50.00 shipped. |

Re: PDS vs. Series
Andy,
do you have a picture of the switch on the dash? I would like to see what it looks like compared to the fwd/rev switch. |

Re: PDS vs. Series
I have the switches mounted in the driver's side dash. As far as seeing it work it's just like the R/T switch except you don't have to get off the cart to swap it.

Re: PDS vs. Series
I guess what I needed to say is that I'm concerned about how it looks? If I'm going to to go to all the trouble of fixing up the cart I want it to look nice and match what is already there. I was wondering if you had a picture to share before I dropped $50 on harness. I've seen pictures of your cart and it looks great so I'm assuming it will look nice.
I was wondering if they were toggles or rockers or whatever? |

Re: PDS vs. Series
I only supply two toggle switches not the plate. You can mount them right threw the dash if you want. I made a panel for mine to work inside the glove box.
Here is what I did.: |

I am thinking 48v. I want to use the original motor now and still be able to upgrade later. What controller would you suggest to use? |

Please tell me how I can purchase the set up that you have. I would like to be able to switch from speed for flat ground to hill climbing. The area that I live in has both hills and flat ground. |

Re: PDS vs. Series
Lurch, just so you don't get your hopes up, after installing a "Freedom Chip", don't expect to win at Talladega or be able to climb brick walls with the stock controller, cables, and motor. You'll notice a slight change when it's applied. I made a toggle switch changeover for my cart shortly after I bought it, and it wasn't long before I replaced the 6ga cables with 4ga, changed out the controller with 400 amp and a heavy duty solenoid.
If you haven't tried the "Freedom Chip", I would suggest you make the 5.00 purchase from ebay and give it a try before sticking holds in your dash that you'll simply wish weren't there after you upgrade to some real mods. |
