1990 Series speed controller replacement for Curtis 1204-009?

I've got a 1990 EZ-GO cart that has the series motor. It's not the DCS. I've tested the current controller (Curtis 1204-009) and it tests out bad so I'd like to replace it. My dad is a Stens dealer so I can get some controllers quite cheaply. Are any of these compatible?

Any help you can give me on this would be great. I also need the link that goes between the throttle bar and the potentiometer. If anyone knows where I can get one. It has the little ball and socket on it.

You have a 1990 X-444 (Marathon, 4 wheel, controller drive), so you have a 0-5K throttle.

None of the controllers linked to have a 0-5K throttle input. (The 5K-0 is for a Club Car and isn't the same as a 0-5K.)

Any 1204 or 1205 with a 0-5K throttle that will run at 36V, will work in your cart. (The higher ampacity ones will work better. )

Here is a parts manual for your cart. The linkage is in the A section.

Thanks much. I really appreciate the information. I'm handy with the wrench and know my way around some wiring but these controllers and carts are new to me.

I guess I'm off to spend some money!

Probably. That was the standard throttle input.

Thanks. So I guess that is the most current manual for these controllers? I have Rev. B, from 1999.
