The rxv troubleshooting guide covers all the factory expects/wants techs to be messin' with. The way they see it, if it fails those tests it will have sufficiently pointed you to the part to change out. (they are sometimes wrong).

So true, and that does work, most of the time. When things do go bad, following their logic can sometimes leave us scratching our heads and wondering where it all went wrong. I'm referring to those phone jockeys in Augusta GA that try to guide the techs out in the field into the Outer Limits of sanity.

Well if I can't figure out how to make this cart cease doing this "hard stop" thing, I will need to sell this 350 amp controller...which is honestly the LAST thing I want to do.

I'd like to test the parameters of this emergency brake factor, but I don't know
1. what value to change the number to, to make the brake less sensitive
2. are there other parameters on this controller that are directly affected by me adjusting the emergency brake parameter, that I need to adjust in a certain way.

So I found a manual on line of the curtis 1268 controller. Which would be exceptional if I owned one...however if I could get some assistance from someone who may know what the FLD BRAKE, FLD BRAKE MAX, FLD BRAKE RATE all translate to in the RXV.

The manual for this other controller specifies the exact issues that I am having, however the RXV controller I have 1206 does not have all the same terminology as the 1268. The manual talks about tuning the cart to hills and controlling the brake lock.

I called EZGO and was told that my handheld (1313- 4301) does not show the all the fields that can be controlled and I need to take the cart to a dealer.

My question is: Do I really have to take this cart to the dealer or can I just fix this myself?

Dealer has a different version of handheld in some cases that is not made available to the end user. At least in my experience.

I wonder what the difference is between your 1313-4301 and my 1313-3301?

Nevermind...... I looked it up and apparently, there is a 4401 that is supposed to be OEM and a 3301 which is dealer level.

I can't find a 4301 anywhere though.......

I just got off the phone with Curtis and was told that EZGO has their own program and that is why the 3301 will allow adjustment of the parameters but the OEM 4401 doesn't have the capability....... basically it's a parameter based on EZGO's software and you have to have the dealer level to adjust it.
