hi Greg
The 2 series beep codes are voltage alarms. 2-1 is low voltage and 2-2 is high voltage.

Is it possible someone put in the wrong controller like a 36 volt one. Is there a difference between the 36 volt and the 48 volt one???

I figured it out, Someone installed 6 8volt batteries in the machine and it is a 36 volt unit. I eliminated one battery and it works fine. I will change out the batteries and it will be all good.

Every cart 'tech' should have and readily use a handheld voltmeter.
