Turn Signal problems
Hi Guys,
I'm new here. We just purchased a 2003 TXT that already had headlights and tail lights. I purchased a Madjax Ultimate upgrade kit with Turn Signal, horn and Break pad. I followed the instructions and got everything wired but when the turn signal is on left or right the head lights and tail lights all flash as if the hazard lights are running. Do you know what could cause this? |

Re: Turn Signal problems
The low cost light kits that just provide headlights and tail lights typically bond the front and rear lights to the headlight connection for power. You'll need a light kit that has seperate wires for each function, or modify the one you have to do this, if it is possible. I've done the mods but it's so much easier to just buy the right kit and do it right.

Re: Turn Signal problems
It was a wire harnas break pad turn signal swich and horn. The lights were existing but the 3 pin connectors in the lights fit the new wiring fine. Just everything blinks at once when lights are off and doesnt blink when lights are on. Alsi break lights dont get brighter when lights are on.

Re: Turn Signal problems
Well the binding of the turn signals and the other lights is either done in the harness itself, or with a jumper plug in the E-Z-GO factory harness. That jumper plug is where the E-Z-GO turn signal switch plugs into the E-Z-GO accessory harness.
You will probably have to contact the source of your harness for a wiring diagram of it to find out how they bonded the turn circuits to the tail/head light circuits. |

Re: Turn Signal problems
Yeah I removed the old wire harnas and installed the new one. Just plugged the new harnas into the existing light fixtures
