Question 2004 MPT 36v speed control- voltage between B+ and M- key off

Good morning.

I have a 2004 MPT 36v with an odd issue. Cart stopped dead, so I started the troubleshooting per the troubleshooting post. Discovered ITS micro switch broken and replaced it, no difference. Replaced inductive sensor, nope. Solenoid engages correctly, and all tests up to a point are correct.

Now here is where it gets odd, with key off I am showing voltage from the B+ to the M- approximately 3v less than battery voltage. Couldn't find a reference to that in the troubleshooting steps so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Side note, cart belongs to a non-profit horse rescue (RVRhorserescue.org) and I volunteer there. I try to keep their carts running, but this one has be buffaloed.

Does the solenoid click when you try to go? If not see which small solenoid post is not getting power, note one post reads + and other -.

Solenoid does engage correctly. Did the troubleshooting from the sticky post up to the point of voltage between B+ and M- on controller. With key on and throttle at rest I am showing approx 2v less than battery voltage between B+ and M - on controller. Troubleshooting guide states it should read near 0v.

Controller is a Curtis P/N 25864G05

Thanks for reply !
