Major Understeer - Some Advise Needed.
I am rebuilding a '90 Marathon 36v and put on a 4" lift kit. On my last test ride I felt the steering was terrible. It was not a wobble or drift, but a drastic understeer. It took a lot of turning the wheel before the cart started to turn.
I know that I need to do a really good job on aligning the wheels toe-in and camber, but that said, I don't see how that would affect under or oversteer. My thought is that the steering arm coming back from the steering axle is pretty long and if I were to drill it and move the steering arm closer to the axle it would give me quicker response upon turning the wheel. Anyone have any thoughts on this? |

Yep, toe actually has a huge effect on steering feel/response.
