Default Battery Meter Question

I have a stock EZGO battery meter that died. The wiring on the back side has 3 prongs. One goes to the 'B' terminal on the starter. One goes to the + side of the battery, and the third goes to the - side of the battery.

The new digital one that I got from carts unlimited only has two +/- wires. What's the best way to hook this up if I don't want it to go straight to the battery, as I'd like it only to come on with the ignition as before. I was thinking of just running it through the fuse box and grounding block, as the voltage reducer runs to the starter. Does this sound correct?

I was planning on running the 'B' terminal on the starter straight to the battery since it can no longer run through the battery meter?

Thanks.

Thanks. So the positive on the meter goes to the 'I' terminal on the new starter, and 'B' on the starter is wired directly to the positive side of the battery. The old starter had the positive red wire running from 'B' to the meter, and then to the battery, which was confusing me since there are only 2 connectors on the new meter. Thanks!

One wire goes to the battery pos, one to battery ground. You can get the 36/48v pos power directly from the battery or hook it to key on power at the key switch. I wired mine direct and put a switch on it.

Thanks. So I can just power it through the ignition terminal on the starter switch as well correct? With negative going straight to battery.

Yes. BTW, electric carts have a Key switch. You might have a switch with lights and have four terminals. Two for 36/48v and two for 12v. I also ran an inline fuse for the meter Pos.
