T-875 vs T-890
Getting ready to do my upgrade from 36v to 48v. Decided to go with 6-8v batteries. I was looking at Trojan Batteries. I'm leaning towards the T-875's because there is quite the price difference. The guy at the battery store decided to argue with me telling me that going to a 190 or 170 amp/hr battery was going to decrease my performance from 6/6v batteries because the 6v batteries are more amp/hr. I'm just looking for more torque/power because I have some smaller hills for hunting. I know my 36v battery pack is dying and if I'm buying new batteries I just want to switch to 48v. I'm upgrading my controller, solenoid, F/R switch thru Scotty B. I can't see paying that much more for the 890's for a little increase in run time.

Re: T-875 vs T-890
The guy at the battery store if full of SH*T...... if you have a standard 6v cart battery, it is 225 AH.....X6 = 1350 ah total......a standard 8v cart battery is 170 AH .... X8 = 1360 AH total....so for all intensive purposes.....they will net you the same.....however, by going to 48v you will have more torque, and speed.

Re: T-875 vs T-890
If you are buying batteries, buy the highest AH you can afford! Always! Just don't buy 8v's with lower capacity than T-875s.

using the math: 225 AH x 36v = 8100 watt-hrs. 170 AH x 48v = 8160 watt-hrs. |
