Default 91 marathon

I have a 91 marathon. Everything was running good and then It just stopped. I've got good voltage everywhere. The motor sounds like it is running but just a grinding sound. Wondering if anybody has any clues on what it could be. I took the motor apart and where the motor connects to the rear differential looks good. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When pressing on the pedal, look at the castle nuts on the rear axle in the middle of the wheel, does either one spin?

Thanks for the advise. After inspecting the rear axle I found a broken axle at the hub. Now I have to find a new rear axle and hub.
