It sounds like your motor speed encoder is not outputting one or both signals to the controller. It runs from 5 VDC and outputs 2 pulse trains, with phase differential indication motor rotation direction. Since you have a 2009, it may be the speed encoder type that is built into the motor bearing assembly. It could be a motor temperature sensor as well, but since that cannot be replaced... They rarely fail though. Good thing because the motor is very expensive to replace. You may have to take the cart in to get the encoder replaced because it is not an easy task to change the bearing version. Take a look at the motor and see if it has a surface mounted motor speed encoder on top of the front end of the motor. The front is the end where the motor mounts to the transaxle. Bob |
