2003 ezgo doesn't have power for very long
I don't own a electric cart anymore but this is for a older guy I know that's haveing some issues with his it's a 03 36v ezgo and it will go for maybe a 1/4 mile with decent power and then get slower. Batteries where tested and good I'm thinking it's the speed controllet but not 100% sure any help would be appreciated thanks

Re: 2003 ezgo doesn't have power for very long
I couldn't tell you how many times I hear "the batteries tested good", only to find the batteries are bad. Always the first part of testing is charging + checking at rest voltage. Beyond that, check the high amp wire connections. Pull each terminal off and wire brush everything. Inspect them up close for corrosion, pitting, and heat distorted surfaces. If it's starting out OK, it's probably not a controller issue. Really sounds like batteries falling off or maybe connections getting hot.
